I’m Abbie Kunch. I’m a photographer.
I grew up in the small town of Anacortes; located on Fidalgo Island.
Photography entered my life at a young age. Growing up, I never had a “family” photoshoot. It was always intimate moments captured by a camera. These moments on film not only became my most treasured photographs, but taught me the true value of a moment.
I specialize in wedding and portrait photography, because it allows my lense to preserve special moments of interaction. I love the stories these moments tell. Stories of love, commitment and happiness. I preserve these moments as if they are for my own family. Curiosity, old film and childhood nostalgia inspire me to create a truly special portrait experience.
When not behind a camera, I’m painting or hiking with my yellow lab, Louise. While the Pacific Northwest is my home, I love to travel and take pictures of it all.
It’s a pleasure to meet you.
Authenticity & Trust
I believe in letting a photograph speak for itself.
I shoot in a way that is non-invasive and allows clients to settle into the moment. Then, I capture the moments as they happen. The most precious photos are always candid and unplanned, showing genuine feelings and total authenticity.
In the nine years I’ve been working as a photographer, I’ve learned to feel the rhythm of wedding days. Though everyone is different, they all hold something in common: a whole lot of love and a little bit of chaos. When it comes to preserving the dynamics and love within a family or couple, I let the situation unfold naturally, documenting the intimacy as it happens.
I ask for trust when working together, and promise with that trust will come a beautiful experience.
